About this tool

Deadline Extension Letter drafts the email you have been avoiding. Type the task and the new date you need, pick a tone — humble, dramatic (for friends) or confident — and get a complete letter with a reason, an apology and a proposed new date.

The best requests are sent early, stay short and offer a specific new deadline. Use the humble or confident version for real teachers and managers; keep the dramatic one for the group chat.

Edit the reason so it is true — honesty gets extensions more often than creativity.
