This policy explains what SillyClicks ("we", "us") collects when you use sillyclicks.com, why, and what choices you have. Short version: we collect very little, we never sell or resell your personal data, and ads are what keep the site free.

1. What we collect

  • Usage totals: how many times each tool was visited, used and shared per day. These are counts only — no names, no IP addresses.
  • Your result history: when you use a tool, your result can be saved against a random ID created in your browser so you can see and replay it. It is not linked to your name or email. You can delete it any time with "Clear" on the tool page; otherwise it is deleted automatically after 90 days.
  • Tool suggestions: if you use "Suggest a silly tool", we store the name you give, your email (optional) and your idea, so we can read it and reply. To prevent spam we store a one-way scrambled (hashed) version of your IP address for one hour of rate limiting.
  • Settings in your browser: tool settings (for example your wheel items or task list) are stored in your own browser's local storage and never sent to us unless a feature says so.

2. What we do not do

  • We do not sell, rent, trade or resell your personal data to anyone.
  • We do not require accounts, and we do not build profiles of individual visitors.
  • We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.

3. Advertising — ads keep us free

SillyClicks is free because of advertising. We may show ads served by Google (AdSense) and other ad partners. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user's prior visits to this website or other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads based on your visits to this and other sites.

You can opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings, or opt out of many third-party vendors' cookies at aboutads.info or youronlinechoices.eu. Where the law requires it (for example in the EEA and UK), ad and analytics cookies are only used after you give consent, and we use Google Consent Mode to respect your choice.

4. Cookies and local storage

We use strictly necessary storage (for example remembering your cookie choice and whether the sidebar is open), preference storage (your tool settings) and, only with your consent, advertising and analytics cookies. See the Cookie Policy for the full list and how to change your choice.

5. How long we keep data

Result history: up to 90 days. Daily usage totals: kept as anonymous statistics. Suggestions: until we have reviewed them, then deleted or kept anonymously if we build the tool.

6. Your choices and rights

You can clear your history on any tool page, clear your browser storage, change cookie settings, and email us at support@sillyclicks.com to ask for a copy or deletion of anything you sent us (such as a suggestion).

7. Security

We use HTTPS, keep data to a minimum and limit who can access it. No system is perfect, so please do not send sensitive personal information through the suggestion form.

8. Changes

We may update this policy; the date at the top will change. Big changes will be highlighted on the site.
